TRUST ME…YOU’LL LOVE THIS: Frank & The Capelet

In our search for a great line of casual shirts to balance out our more tailored shirt offering, we discovered what has become one of our fastest growing collections in terms of popularity (evidenced when someone buys one shirt, and immediately comes back for two more!): Frank & Eileen. They do what they do really well, so if this is your aesthetic, you are going to love this collection!

Frank is a staple in the shop and is available in an ever-changing seasonal variety of solids, patterns and fabrications. Pop by the shop and see what’s new!

While they offer several shirt silhouettes that speak to different body types, F&E introduced a new silhouette this year called FRANK – and it turns out he’s MY guy. Short enough in the front for my 5’3” frame, yet long enough in the back to cover without feeling like my shirttail is dragging the ground; just the right amount of shape to be feminine yet with a bit of a boyfriend slouch. The shape and length of the shirttail lends itself to a world of styling options, and interestingly, it works for someone flatter-chested like myself as well as for a fuller-busted figure. Perfection in my book. Our stock changes frequently, so pop by the shop and check out the pattern, color and fabrication options for Frank – as well as the other great silhouettes in this collection.

Frank & Eileen’s sister brand of luxury knits called TeeLab included another favorite new discovery this season (that I am living in!): a one-size-fits-most “capelet.” Don’t let this fool you on the rack (the fact that it is “one size” and you are a size 2 or a 12) as it truly works for both! The neck on the capelet is so flattering and works equally as well with a shirt collar or a tank underpinning. The “sleeve” is just enough to cover the top of the arm but is not restricting, and the shape has a certain glamour about it even though we are basically talking about a “sweatshirt.”

They have added a touch of “distressing” around the neck to give it a modern youthful edge, and after more than a dozen washings, mine still looks as fresh as the day I bought it. In addition to their core staple colors, each season brings a few yummy additions which are only around for a short time, so act quickly if something catches your eye!

Trust me…..you will LOVE these easy pieces!
