Living
Meet Stewart & Forrest
Stewart & Forrest have been Fearrington residents since 2013. We asked them what they loved most about living at Fearrington – here’s what they shared about their experience.
What persuaded you to move to Fearrington?
Stew and I both went to UNC and love UNC and the Chapel Hill Area. I saw Fearrington some 25 years ago and thought the quaintness of the village was endearing so when we settled on returning to Chapel Hill from Chicago, Fearrington was our first thought. AND, I love cows.
What about the Knolls neighborhood appealed to you when deciding between Fearrington’s neighborhoods?
The homes in the Knolls were a good size for us with a potential garden, screen porch and many amenities not found in the older house we lived in in Chicago. The Knolls was being developed when we made the decision to buy a woody lot we liked, inhabited by wildlife. It just fit our bill.
What do you love most about Fearrington?
The residents are great, from all over the U.S. The gym is fantastic and there are clubs and activities for almost anything you have an interest in doing. There is also Galloway Ridge, a 3 tier retirement center next door to Fearrington Village.
What is your favorite part of living at Fearrington?
It is a very easy place to live. Quiet, private, great neighbors and very charming.
