From the Fearrington House kitchen, we’re especially drawn to the brightness of the spring menu right now—each dish capturing the season in a thoughtful, elegant way. A standout is the Seared Ahi Tuna, the third course of the tasting menu. Paired with Lion’s Mane mushrooms and sweet spring peas, layered with miso and pearl onion, and finished with a delicate herb tuile, it’s a dish that feels both vibrant and beautifully balanced—fresh, nuanced, and unmistakably of the moment.
Our new Afternoon Tea menu has arrived—and it’s every bit as beautiful as it is delicious. This season’s offerings celebrate the brightness of spring with a thoughtful balance of citrus, berries, and delicate textures. Pastry highlights include a Lemon and Blueberry Opera Cake layered with blueberry mousse and lemon curd, fresh seasonal fruit tarts with vanilla custard and white chocolate, and a refreshing orange cream mousse paired with a vanilla bean and orange sugar cookie.
Classic favorites like mixed berry cheesecakes and grasshopper bars with fresh mint buttercream add a touch of indulgence.
Of course, no tea is complete without a warm raisin scone served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and housemade seasonal jam.
The savory selections are equally inviting, from chicken salad on a soft challah roll to egg salad on a toasted English muffin, alongside smoked salmon with crème fraîche on rye and a light sesame croute with cucumber and whipped chèvre.
It’s a menu designed to delight—layered with flavor, texture, and a sense of occasion in every bite.
Join us Thursday thru Sunday for Afternoon Tea – reservations are required.
We’re loving the Gallica Estate Rosé 2024—a beautifully expressive Napa Valley rosé that feels both vibrant and nuanced. Founded by Rosemary Cakebread, Gallica is rooted in a thoughtful approach to winemaking, with estate vineyards in Saint Helena farmed organically and a focus on wines with complex, intriguing aromatics. The name itself—drawn from the apothecary rose—speaks to that intention.
This rosé, a blend of early harvest Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, is delicately pressed to achieve its soft blush hue, then fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak. In the glass, it offers notes of alpine strawberry, a touch of white chocolate, oolong tea, and a subtle savory edge.
Dry, crisp, and refreshingly structured, it’s a rosé that invites you to slow down and savor—especially when served just slightly warmer than chilled. A perfect companion for the season, and one we’ll be reaching for all year long.
