Troy Revell

WINE & BEER DIRECTOR

A Certified Sommelier with a deep passion for pairing exceptional wines with unforgettable experiences, Troy Revell leads the acclaimed wine and beer programs across The Fearrington House Restaurant and Fearrington Village. Troy returned to Fearrington after a brief tenure in 2019, bringing with him years of expertise from some of the Triangle’s top dining destinations, including Bin 54 and The Umstead Hotel & Spa, where he built Wine Spectator Award–winning programs. At Fearrington, Troy combines technical mastery with an approachable, guest-centered philosophy—curating a 1,500+ label cellar, hosting monthly wine dinners and tastings, and mentoring his team to deliver polished yet relaxed hospitality. His love of food, wine, and people continues to shape a program that celebrates craftsmanship, connection, and the joy of discovery in every glass.

Julianne “Joules” Thompson

SOMMELIER & WINE ASSOCIATE

Julianne Thompson joined the Fearrington team in July 2024, bringing with her extensive wine experience in both retail and restaurant settings. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, she moved to North Carolina specifically to join Fearrington—after first hearing about it from our longtime friend and former Wine Director, Max Kast. Having spent much of her childhood in England, Joules brings a global perspective and an approachable sophistication to every guest interaction. Her warm, positive energy pairs seamlessly with her deep wine knowledge, whether she’s guiding guests through pairings at The Fearrington House or helping find the perfect bottle at Galloway’s Wine Bar & Shop.

Kailin Solomons

SOMMELIER & WINE ASSOCIATE

Kailin Solomons joined the Fearrington wine team in March 2024, bringing a dynamic blend of front- and back-of-house restaurant experience and an unwavering curiosity for all things wine. Having spent much of her formative years in England, Kailin brings a worldly perspective and a poised, thoughtful approach to hospitality. Though newer to the wine world, Kailin’s natural intelligence and passion have made her a quick study—her knowledge deepening with every service and tasting. She came to Fearrington with glowing recommendations from her former employer, a respected local chef, and has quickly become an indispensable part of the team. With her sharp mind, warm personality, and growing expertise, Kailin embodies the future of Fearrington’s wine program.
