At The Fearrington House, pasta is not simply prepared — it is crafted. Each cappelletti is handmade in-house, carefully folded and shaped by our culinary team to achieve the perfect balance of tenderness and structure.
This dish begins with a delicate pasta filled with rutabaga, offering a gentle, earthy sweetness. That sweetness is layered with the savory richness of bacon and the subtle fruit notes of quince, creating depth without heaviness. Oyster mushrooms add a woodsy nuance, while prosciutto brings a refined saltiness. A beautifully brûléed vegetable sauce introduces caramelized warmth and texture, grounding the dish with smoky complexity.
It is both comforting and elegant — a study in balance and technique. Handmade pasta allows every element to shine, and in this case, each bite reflects the care, precision, and artistry that define dining at The Fearrington House. We look forward to welcoming you to experience it.
There’s something about this time of year — a little more sunshine, a soft breeze in the afternoon — that makes everything taste better outdoors.
Patio season has officially arrived at The Belted Goat, and with our new umbrellas up and providing the perfect shade, it’s the ideal place to gather for a relaxed lunch with friends, a casual meeting, or a quiet moment with a good book.
Our sandwiches are layered generously and grilled to perfection — crisp on the outside, warm and melty within. Fresh breads, house-roasted meats, vibrant vegetables, and flavorful spreads make each one satisfying without feeling heavy. Pair one with one of our seasonal salads, filled with crisp greens and bright ingredients that reflect the lighter days ahead.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or lingering over lunch and conversation, the patio at The Belted Goat is the perfect place to settle in and savor the season.
From one of Oregon’s true pioneers, visionary winemaker Mark Vlossak, the Momtazi Pinot Noir is a beautiful expression of place and precision. St. Innocent has long been considered one of the benchmark producers of the Willamette Valley, and this bottling shows exactly why.
The 2021 Momtazi is textural and umami-driven, layered with aromas of spice, smoky earth, and dried black fruit.
On the palate, it is elegant and refined, with a silky mid-palate that unfolds into floral notes and a whisper of cocoa powder on the finish. It’s a wine that feels both grounded and lifted — complex yet beautifully balanced.
“This is one of the most distinctive Pinot Noirs in Oregon,” says Troy Revell, our Wine Director. “Momtazi always has this savory depth and texture that makes it incredibly compelling at the table. It’s a wine that rewards slow sipping — and thoughtful food pairings.”
It pairs beautifully with winter stews, roasted vegetables, cassoulet, and mushroom dishes — the kind of flavors that allow its earthy character to shine.
We’re excited to share that the Momtazi Pinot Noir will be featured at our upcoming St, Innocent wine dinner, and tickets are still available – click here. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience this exceptional wine alongside a thoughtfully curated menu.
