Dear Gentle Reader,

We have a nice pair of weekend events on this Saturday. At 11 am, Bart Ehrman, a leading authority on the New Testament and the history of early Christianity as well as distinguished professor of religious studies at UNC, will discuss his latest work, Love Thy Stranger: How the Teachings of Jesus Transformed the Moral Conscience of the West. Then at 2pm, we are delighted to help launch Ellery Adams' latest,Invasive Species, a mashup of the mystery and horror genres. The women in Cold Harbor all have something to prove, and they'll have to do it in a world full of monsters. Something’s not right in Cold Harbor—more so than usual. While this sleepy small town has seen its fair share of monsters in cheating husbands and leering bosses, none are as hungry as Mrs. Smith. The mysterious resident has finally emerged from her crumbling mansion on the hill, mesmerizing the townspeople with her beauty. Her secret? Nine human sacrifices to feed her immortality.

If you are interested in attending, last call for tickets for Chatham Literacy's Spring into Literacy Luncheon on Wednesday, April 22nd, featuring Daniel Wallace.

We are so looking forward to hosting the Our State Book Club with Wiley Cash and guest author Meagan Churchin the Barn on Thursday, April 23rd.
