As most of you know, we are huge dog lovers at Fearrington. We love seeing our four-legged guests arrive at the Inn, stroll through the Village and explore the gardens with their people.
Fearrington is wonderfully dog friendly, with plenty of paths and quiet lanes for long walks through the Village, gardens and surrounding neighborhoods. On any given day, you're likely to see quite a few of our resident and visiting pups out enjoying Fearrington with their humans.
I have two not-so-little ones of my own at home—Charlie and Frankie, my 8½-year-old Goldendoodles. Frankie is my girl and definitely has more Poodle than Golden in her, while Charlie, my boy, is a rather handsome brindle Goldendoodle. They are very much my "kids," and although they don't make it into the Village very often, I can assure you they completely rule our house.
This Wednesday, August 26, is National Dog Day, and we're celebrating with a specialYappy Hour in the gravel area by The Belted Goat.
Bring your well-behaved pups out for a little Fearrington fun. We'll have a photo-op in front of McIntyre's, along with a pup cup and treat cart, and a splash pad at The Belted Goat for anyone who needs to cool off.
We haven't forgotten the humans, either. You'll be able to order hot dogs and chili dogs from The Belted Goat pickup window—because really, what else could we possibly serve on National Dog Day?
And if your pup deserves a little something new (don't they always?), Nest will be offering 20% off dog toys for the day only. Join us Wednesday, bring your favorite four-legged family member and help us celebrate all the dogs that make our lives just a little bit happier.

Charlie and Frankie will probably be home ruling the roost, but I look forward to meeting plenty of your "kids" here at Fearrington!
