Dare I say it… I think spring has finally arrived.
Each morning lately, as I drive in, I notice something new. The gardens are beginning to pop — fresh green shoots pushing through, buds swelling on branches, and color returning almost daily. It’s that magical in-between moment where everything feels full of possibility.
One of my favorite things this time of year is wandering along the winding paths that weave through the Village. The garden beds are waking up, layer by layer — hellebores still holding court, early bulbs peeking through, and the promise of what’s to come just beneath the surface. There’s something deeply hopeful about it.
The patio at The Belted Goat has had a refresh with new umbrellas, ready for sunny lunches and lingering afternoons. The Fearrington House itself is getting a little refresh this week as well, with new paint to brighten and renew. And inside the shops, spring is arriving weekly — lighter fabrics, fresh colors, new collections — all echoing what’s happening outside.
We’re looking forward to warmer temperatures, doors open to let the breeze drift through, and those longer golden evenings that make you want to stay just a little bit later.
If you haven’t taken a stroll through the Village lately, now is a lovely time. The paths are winding, the beds are blooming, and spring — finally — feels like it’s here.
