I recently stumbled upon a nail care line that truly intrigued me — and that doesn’t happen often. As many of you know, I’m constantly working with my hands. Between meetings, events, and the daily rhythm of village life, I simply don’t have time to maintain a perfect manicure. And being of a certain age — when menopause changes more than you expect — I began noticing brittle nails, ridges, and a general lack of strength. So I went searching for something restorative, not just cosmetic.
That’s when I discovered Manucurist, a Parisian brand known for its clean, plant-based approach to nail care. Founded in Paris, Manucurist has reimagined nail products with eco-conscious formulas made from up to 84% bio-sourced ingredients derived from potato, corn, cassava, and cotton. While they’re well known for their Green Flash™ LED polish system, what truly caught my attention was their nail care philosophy.
Before bringing any new brand into the Spa, I like to test it personally so I can genuinely speak to how it works. Last month, I purchased four Manucurist products and committed to using them a few times a week. I have to say — I saw results after just one use. And now, three weeks later, my nails have never looked healthier without polish.
I began with Serum Complete, a lightweight hydrating serum that you massage directly into the nails. It’s non-greasy and contains panthenol for moisture and chestnut extract to help strengthen. It absorbs beautifully and immediately made my nails look smoother.
In the evenings, I added Huile Verte (Green Oil), massaging it into my cuticles to regenerate and deeply moisturize. It’s simple, nourishing, and feels very French in its understated elegance.
Then came the real transformation products. The Keratin Booster is applied like a polish. It feels cool going on, and your nails quite literally drink it in. It dries quickly and begins strengthening immediately. After that, I layered on the S.O.S. Mask, an overnight treatment for nails. A small tip — apply it after your evening routine, once you know you won’t be washingyour hands. I applied the Keratin Booster first, followed by the mask. It dries relatively quickly, and in the morning, you peel it off just like a face mask. It is incredibly satisfying — and your nails feel deeply nourished afterward.
Once I saw my own results, I contacted the company, and we brought the products into the Spa. We’ll soon be introducing their polish collection as well — beautiful colors that are not only chic but healthier for your nails. We’ll be incorporating them into our manicures and pedicures in the coming weeks. And as always, I’m testing something new — currently exploring one of their hand hydration products. Stay tuned. Sometimes the most meaningful beauty discoveries are the ones that quietly restore confidence — one small detail at a time.
