I really love the “shoulder seasons.” You know those few transitioning weeks when we move from winter to spring/spring to summer/summer to fall and so on….where temperatures are moderate and “a layer and a half” seems just right for whatever comes your way.

Albeit still January, even in the north Georgia mountains, Mother Nature is teasing us with the promise of an early spring as we have already seen a few 70 degree days (she must know how much we all need this!)…..perfect weather for “a layer and a half.”

Vests are quintessential “half layers” for days when temps are fluctuating but a coat would be too much. They have been a staple in my closet for as long as I can remember because of their versatility. Slip over an appropriate base layer….perhaps a long sleeve tee if the day is expected to warm up or a cashmere tee if cooling down, a pretty shirt if dressing up…. and you can always jazz things up with a great scarf or necklace and still keep things simple.

We have restocked our favorite vests for the new season with lots of color options that feel just right for “now.” One size fits most and each offers several styling options depending on which way you flip it. They look and feel super luxurious, yet are 100% acrylic and washable…gotta love that!

Trust me, come that next gorgeous day when you need to slip on a little something extra to walk the dog, you will love a “half layer!”
