Wine Class: This Can’t be California!

Join Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell on Thursday, February 22nd at 6pm to learn more about some lesser known California Wines. Everyone has had the classic California staples, but the diversity of the state’s wine scene is largely unknown and truly fascinating.  We’ll leave the Sonoma Chardonnay and Napa Cabernet behind for another day while we explore curious and eclectic selections from small producers all over America’s most populous state.

Here’s the slate of wines we’ll be tasting:

  • Tatomer ‘Meeresboden’ Grüner Veltliner, Santa Barbara 2020
  • Gail ‘Two Creek Farm’ Chenin Blanc, Sonoma Valley 2021
  • LaBarge Albariño, Sta. Rita Hills 2019
  • A Tribute to Grace ‘Hofer Vineyard’ Grenache, Cucamonga Valley 2022
  • Phelan Farms ‘Autrement’ Pinot/Gamay Blend, San Luis Obispo 2021
  • Sandlands ‘Red Table Wine’ Carignan/Mourvedre, Contra Costa County 2021

A small plate from Chef Gagne is included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on The Garden Terrace next to The Fearrington House Restaurant.

We look forward to welcoming you!
