Wine Class – Italian Islands

We could spend the rest of our life learning different Italian wines, and maybe we will! For our June wine class, let’s focus on two overlooked yet fabulous destinations with a rich wine history – Sicily and Sardinia. These Mediterranean locales are known for beautiful landscapes, local cuisine, and relaxing climate, but their wines are still a bit under the radar, which gives us great opportunity to find value. Join Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell for a discussion about quintessential local varietals like Vermentino, Cannonau, Nerello Mascalese, and Nero d’Avola. After the class, if you decide to go ahead and retire to an Italian island, we’re right behind you.

A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
