Fall Series Wine Class – Part 1: Sauvingon Blanc
For our Fall wine classes, we are going to delve into single grape varietals and how they express themselves from different locations all around the world! Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell has a three part series with the challenge of presenting as many different styles as possible using a single grape. The September class starts with Sauvignon Blanc, where we will explore examples from New Zealand, California, Bordeaux, Sancerre, and beyond! This variety can range from tropical and green to lighter mineral driven styles to full bodied oaked expressions, but always shows lip smacking acidity and distinct flavors great for many occasions.
A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
The Fine Print:
