This week’s featured dish is one of the brightest, most elegant plates on our current menu—a beautiful expression of Chef Paul’s approach to seasonal, Mediterranean-leaning flavors.
Our Grilled Branzino arrives with its skin perfectly crisped, resting on a warm, deeply savory puttanesca that adds just the right note of richness. Beside it, a delicate semolina and fennel cake offers texture and a gentle sweetness, complemented by roasted fennel and paper-thin fennel coins that bring a fresh, aromatic lift.
Everything is tied together with a vibrant salmoriglio, the classic Southern Italian sauce of lemon, olive oil, and herbs. It brightens each bite, creating a dish that feels both light and satisfying—beautifully balanced, layered, and full of early-spring energy.
It’s a plate that truly shines in person, both in flavor and presentation—the kind you remember long after the meal has ended.
We’ve been quietly revamping our grab-and-go offerings at The Belted Goat, and this week we’re excited to debut a delicious new addition: our Cheese & Charcuterie Box.
Beautifully arranged with artisan cheeses, cured meats, house-pickled vegetables, and all the little extras that make a board feel special, it’s the perfect option for easy entertaining or a spontaneous afternoon treat. Pair it with a favorite bottle from Galloway’s Wine & Beer Bar, and you have an instant picnic—whether you’re wandering the Village, settling in near the Belties, or hosting a last-minute guest who needs a little hors d’oeuvre magic.
More grab-and-go updates are on the way… stay tuned for even more fun additions from our kitchen team.
This week we’re highlighting a stunning American sparkling wine that feels perfect for early spring celebrations (or simply elevating an ordinary evening): the Caraccioli Brut Rosé 2017.
Crafted from 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, with a small addition of still red wine to enhance color and depth, this rosé sparkler is elegant and expressive.
Its pale pink hue hints at what’s inside—aromas of rose petals, strawberries, nectarine, lemon peel, and warm baked biscuits, all carried by a vibrant, fine mousse. The palate is beautifully balanced, showcasing both the precision of Chardonnay and the red-fruited complexity of Pinot Noir.
Troy Revell, our Wine Director, says: “I had the pleasure of tasting with Scott Caraccioli at their tasting room in Carmel-by-the-Sea back in 2012. They were still a newer operation at the time, but today have become one of the most respected American sparkling producers—and my personal favorite of the genre.”
From the Santa Lucia Highlands of California’s Central Coast, this is a bottle that rivals top Champagne houses while offering its own distinctly Californian brightness.
A beautiful choice for seafood, soft cheeses, charcuterie (hello, Belted Goat grab-and-go box!), or toasting any moment worth savoring.
