Fearrington Living
The Fearrington Restoration Project
The weather this week has been brutally hot, so consider slipping into the “Fearrington Restoration Project”. Located off of Millcroft right before entering Bushcreek, this roughly 3 acre green space provides a quarter acre loop of walking path under some lush foliage. Even though Langdon is nearby, you would never know it. There are mature trees and wild natural patches. I strolled in ninety degree heat and it was quite comfortable and shady, it felt like another world. At one point there was a webcam, and you can check out some old footage here https://nltrewilding.blogspot.com/ . It appears that many bird specious, deer and coyotes passed through. There are some interesting tree labels here and there, and a wonderful bench alongside the creek with a “journal house” for those who want to jot down their meditations for others to enjoy. The bird song is fabulous and the light gorgeous streaming through the trees. Just another magical place to enjoy within Fearrington Village!
