The Fearrington InnSider – The Timeless Beauty of Ann Lightfoot Jewelry
This week we have the pleasure of welcoming renowned jewelry designer Ann Lightfoot to Fearrington Village for her biannual showcase of her exquisite collections. Every season, I find myself irresistibly drawn to her work, adding to my personal collection piece by piece. I even have an Ann Lightfoot wall—a display of all the fun, timeless designs I’ve collected over the years. Her jewelry is not just beautiful—it’s effortless, wearable art.
Ann’s designs are deeply influenced by her experiences across various cultures and landscapes. After graduating from Harvard College, she spent time teaching in Bangkok, Thailand, and working with Cambodian refugees in the Phanat Nikhom camps. Her travels introduced her to the unique materials that now define her jewelry—stones, pearls, and textures that feel organic yet refined.
The carefully selected materials in each piece come from all over the world, yet every piece is handmade in her small Lyme, Connecticut studio. This commitment to craftsmanship and artistry is what makes her jewelry so easy to wear, easy to style, and wholly individual.

A FEARRINGTON TRADITION
For the past 12 years, we’ve welcomed Ann to Fearrington twice a year, and each visit is a treat. Her collections are always fresh yet timeless, making it nearly impossible to pick just one piece (which explains why my above collection continues to grow!).
Whether you’re new to Ann Lightfoot Jewelry or already an admirer, I invite you to explore her latest designs at our next Fearrington event. Trust me—you need to try these.
