    Delicate citrus aromas lead on the nose, while the palate reveals impressive depth and density— hallmarks of Vat 1’s exceptional vineyard sources. The robust fruit profile is balanced by fine texture and a soft acid line, offering immediate approachability while retaining the structure and finesse to age gracefully for decades.

    Established in 1858 by English immigrant Edward Tyrrell, Tyrrell’s Wines is one of Australia’s pre-eminent family-owned wine companies with vine- yards extending from their historic home in the Hunter Valley to the Lime- stone Coast and Heathcote. This flagship Winemaker’s Selection range is made in small volumes and produced using only the best parcels of fruit from Tyrrell’s top vineyards, making it one of Australia’s oldest and most awarded collections of wine.

    The 2018 Vat 1 Semillon is sourced exclusively from Tyrrell’s best old-vine, dry-grown vineyard. The wine spent minimal time on lees and saw no oak, preserving purity and freshness. Bottled on June 20, it reflects a warm, dry vintage that delivered wines of depth, softness, and concentration.
