    Fresh, savory and distinctly aromatic, this 100% Xinomavro shows black cherry, blackberry and red currant alongside dried herbs, licorice, leather and a subtle tomato-leaf character. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and firm but rounded tannins, it has the structure of a serious red without feeling heavy.

    Apostolos Thymiopoulos is one of the leading modern voices of Naoussa, producing wines that highlight Xinomavro’s natural perfume, acidity and savory complexity. This bottling comes from a mix of higher-altitude parcels around Fytia and warmer, lower vineyards near Trilofos, giving the wine both freshness and depth.

    The grapes are hand harvested, mostly destemmed, and the wine is matured in concrete rather than new oak, keeping the fruit and earthy character clear and expressive. The 2021 is an excellent introduction to Xinomavro: structured, aromatic and food-friendly, with a profile that often appeals to fans of Nebbiolo and savory Pinot Noir.
