The Plainsman is PennBilt’s most updated style, filling the void between 5-Pocket performance chinos and traditional style khakis. The cut is slightly more tailored through the rise and leg than traditional khakis and worn more on the hip than higher on the waist.
The fabric blends natural performance Pima cotton with 4% stretch. The dobby twill weave also stretches mechanically while maintaining shape with wear. The pant washes well and sheds wrinkles when worn.
Over the past 10 years, there has been a big shift to 5-Pocket, poly performance style chinos. The Plainsman was designed to get you back into updated traditional, natural fiber chinos again.
Sizing Note:
We recommend sizing up in this style.
The Plainsman does fit true to size, but many other brands run up to 2” over size.
When received, the waist should feel slightly loose before wash. Expect a 1/2 inch shrink in wash.
