But before February ends make sure to check out our display for Black History Month! There are some stunning picture book biographies about Black artists, heroes, and trailblazers featured in our kids’ section. You can introduce a young reader to some of our local creators and historical figures like George Moses Horton, Edna Lewis, and Roberta Flack with one of these lovely books. Beyond nonfiction you’ll also find stories that celebrate Black joy and self-confidence. Visit us this week or browse the listonline. Rest assured though, these are titles we have on our shelves year-round, not just for this month.
