Wine Class – Portugal Beyond Port

Portugal has been famous for centuries for the fortified Port wines of the Douro, but looking deeper, there’s a huge array of dry styles to be explored that have yet to “hit it big” on the worldwide scene. Our own selections here at Fearrington are fairly short on Portuguese options, and we’ve been getting requests! Join Wine Director Troy Revell as we explore options like the fresh whites of Vinho Verde, the deep reds of Touriga Nacional, and other native varietals like Encruzado and Jaen. You can help us decide which ones should become part of our wine lists!

A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
