Wine Class – Crémant

Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell’s April class features French sparkling wines — other than Champagne!

Crémant is a French sparkling wine made using the same traditional method as Champagne but produced in eight regions outside Champagne with diverse grape varieties. Regulated similarly to Champagne, Crémant requires manual harvesting, whole-bunch pressing, and at least nine months of aging, ensuring quality. Its versatility comes from regional grape variations, offering diverse styles.

A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
