NCPS Reading with Sam Barbee + Ana Pugatch

Join us on Sunday, June 25th for our monthly event with the North Carolina Poetry Society. This month features Sam Barbee, Apertures of Voluptuous Force, and Ana Pugatch, Engrams: Seven Years on Asia.

Sam Barbee’s new collection, Apertures of Voluptuous Force, was published by Redhawk Publishing in 2022. He has three previous poetry collections, including That Rain We Needed (Press 53), a nominee for the Roanoke-Chowan Award as one of North Carolina’s best poetry collections of 2016. Sam is a two-time Pushcart nominee.

Ana Pugatch is a Harvard graduate and a recipient of George Mason University’s Poetry Heritage Fellowship. She spent most of her twenties teaching English in China and Thailand, where she also studied Buddhism. Ana’s debut collection is Engrams: Seven Years in Asia, published by Redhawk Publications.
