Domaine Skouras was founded in 1986 by George Skouras, a Greek winemaker trained in Burgundy. Starting in a small facility near Argos, he introduced modern techniques to traditional Greek winemaking. His flagship wine, Megas Oenos, was among the first to blend native Agiorgitiko with Cabernet Sauvignon, setting a new standard in Greece.
In 2004, the winery moved to a modern facility in Malandreni, and in 2024, expanded to Mantinia to focus on Moschofilero. The estate now produces around 850,000 bottles annually, with about half exported globally. Skouras emphasizes minimal intervention, terroir expression, and family leadership—with George’s children, Dimitrisand Stella, now helping to lead the business.
