Fall Series Wine Class – Part 2: Cabernet Franc
For our Fall wine classes, we are going to delve into single grape varietals and how they express themselves from different locations all around the world!
Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell has a three part series with the challenge of presenting as many different styles as possible using a single grape. The October class focuses on Cabernet Franc, where we will explore examples from Loire, Bordeaux, Italy, California, and beyond! Frequently filled with beautiful herbaceous florals and hints of spice, Cab Franc can present as a light, medium, or full bodied style depending on it’s ripeness level. No matter your personal preference, there are varied choices here for everyone to enjoy.
A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
The Fine Print:
