Deep, powerful and polished, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon shows ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with balsamic herbs, spice, cocoa and toasted oak. The palate is dense and full-bodied, with mature, velvety tannins and a long finish that feels rich but still composed.
ENATE is one of the leading estates of Somontano, at the foothills of the Pyrenees in Aragón. Since its founding in 1992, the winery has become known for combining modern winemaking with a strong focus on varietal character, and for its distinctive labels created by contemporary artists.
The 2016 spent 18 months in new French oak barrels after a three-week maceration, building richness, spice and a creamy texture around the dark fruit. With nearly a decade of bottle age, it is now in a compelling drinking window, showing the depth and polish of mature Cabernet while retaining enough structure for further cellaring. A natural match for grilled steak, roast lamb, braised beef or aged Manchego.
