Fragrant, delicate and beautifully expressive, this 100% Gamay shows wild strawberry, cranberry and red cherry with rose petal, dried herbs, black tea and a subtle earthy, forest-floor character. Light-bodied but not simple, it has silky tannins, bright acidity and the graceful perfume that makes Fleurie one of Beaujolais’ most elegant crus.

Guy Breton is one of the celebrated “Gang of Four” producers who helped revive traditional, low-intervention Beaujolais in the 1980s. Working from old vines and farming without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, Breton favors native-yeast fermentations, minimal sulfur and a hands-off cellar approach that keeps the wines vivid, aromatic and transparent.

The Fleurie comes from old Gamay vines rooted in the appellation’s granitic soils and is made in Breton’s classic style, emphasizing freshness, floral lift and pure red fruit rather than extraction. Soft, perfumed and highly drinkable, it is a lovely expression of Fleurie and especially good served with a slight chill.
