One of our favorite Dovecote traditions is back. Ann Lightfoot will be here this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for her much-anticipated trunk show—and if you have joined us before, you know what that means.
Ann has been coming to Dovecote twice a year for more than 14 years, usually arriving with a car absolutely packed with jewelry. The best part is that she brings far more than what we normally carry in the store, including extended collections, one-of-a-kind pieces, and styles you may not otherwise have the chance to see.
Her jewelry is elemental, feminine, and handmade, with each piece created in her Lyme, Connecticut studio using carefully selected natural materials sourced from around the world. Ann lets the stones, pearls, metals, and textures guide the design, so the finished pieces feel individual rather than mass-produced.
That is exactly why we love her work. Her necklaces layer beautifully, her earrings make a statement without overpowering, and the mix of luminous pearls, natural stones, and mixed metals gives everything a collected, effortless quality. The pieces are distinctive, but still incredibly wearable—equally at home with denim and a crisp white shirt or dressed up for an evening out.
And then, of course, there is Ann herself. Having the designer here makes the weekend even more special. She loves helping customers mix, layer, and find pieces that feel personal, and after so many years of visits, she has become very much part of the Dovecote family.
