Based in Gill, Massachusetts, the company creates handcrafted wooden bowls, cutting boards, serving pieces, and kitchen accessories from solid New England hardwoods. Much of the wood comes from locally fallen trees or logs that might otherwise have been chipped or used for firewood. Spencer Peterman saw the character hidden within that discarded wood and began transforming it into pieces that are useful, distinctive, and made to last.
Each bowl and board celebrates the natural qualities of the tree from which it came. Cherry develops a richer, warmer tone over time, walnut offers beautiful depth, and spalted or ambrosia maple reveals unexpected lines and markings created as the wood ages. No two pieces are exactly alike, which is a large part of their appeal.
We love them because they feel organic and substantial without being overly formal. A board can be used for chopping, serving cheese and charcuterie, or simply left on the counter to bring warmth to the kitchen. The bowls are equally versatile—wonderful for salads, fruit, bread, or as a beautiful centerpiece on the table.
Each piece is finished with a food-safe blend of beeswax and mineral oil and is designed for regular use, not simply display. With a little care, these are the kinds of pieces that become more beautiful with age and can be enjoyed for generations.
