Is it just me, or does holiday decorating seem to start earlier and earlier every year? For the past month, I’ve been seeing Christmas decorations popping up in big-box stores, and while we’re not even upon the pumpkins just yet, I have to admit that I do love a little holiday sparkle!
This past week, Leah and our talented floral ladies worked their magic and transformed Nest into a wonderful holiday wonderland. And oh my, there are some fabulous things this year! From whimsical ornaments and playful decorations to beautiful, traditional holiday treasures, there really is something for every taste and decorating theme.
What always makes me smile is how far in advance we plan for the holidays. Believe it or not, shortly after Christmas and New Year's, we're already buying for the following holiday season. By the time everything starts arriving in July and August, we've often forgotten half of what we ordered! So unpacking all those boxes is a bit like Christmas morning for us, too. There are always plenty of "Oh, I LOVE this!" moments as we rediscover our selections.
And I must say, the ornaments this year are truly special. There are so many charming, unusual, and downright delightful pieces that I found myself wanting to take quite a few home. Whether you prefer an elegant, traditional tree, something a little more colorful and whimsical, or a completely different theme each year, you'll find plenty of inspiration.
While the rest of Fearrington Village won't be dressed in its holiday finery until just after Thanksgiving, Nest is ready to get you in the spirit now! Stop by and see Gloria or Kathy, who would be delighted to help you pull together the perfect holiday look, whether you're decorating an entire tree or simply looking for a few special additions to your collection.
And a little word of advice: don't wait too long! Some of our most wonderful ornaments and decorations tend to disappear quickly, and once they're gone, they're often gone for the season.
So come wander through Nest, enjoy a little early holiday magic, and perhaps get a head start on your decorating. After all, if Christmas is going to arrive earlier every year, we might as well have some fun with it!
