The Fearrington Barn, located in Fearrington Village in between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro, North Carolina, combines the vintage splendor and dramatic spaces of an authentic barn with the exceptional cuisine and service expected of a Relais & Châteaux property.

Our barn was originally built in 1927 and has since been renovated to include sparkling twig chandeliers, a patio for cocktails, a full-service bar and dedicated restrooms. Profiled in magazines including Martha Stewart Weddings and Southern Weddings, our Barn is a truly enchanting venue for large wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.

Every part of the village feels like a fairytale, it’s full of life and color. The Fearrington team is absolutely OUTSTANDING, they truly have it down to a science. Gilda, Fearrington’s event planner, is a machine. I’ve never seen one human manage to be in so many places at once. She is all business but cool, calm and collected at the same time.

“The thing that struck me most were the gorgeous gardens. To me they felt like the perfect combination of wonderfully wild and natural, but tamed and refined.

Gilda made us feel extremely well taken care of and we knew that they would work with us to make the day special. And last, but certainly not least, I have a bit of an obsession with cows so it felt like fate when I found out about the Fearrington belties.

I called Gilda on a Wednesday and made plans for Matthew, my parents, and me to meet with her on Sunday. Gilda made it very easy to envision our wedding and ensured us that everything would go flawlessly – this is a promise that Gilda and her whole team kept.
