Wine Class – The Hills of Austria – August 21, 2025

The hills are alive with the sound of Austrian wine! Despite sporting an ancient wine history going back 2000 years, Austria’s current wine scene has undergone recent changes and is finding it’s way all over again with fresh and family driven selections. We will explore their best known varietal, Grüner Veltliner, while also tasting examples of Riesling, Zweigelt, and Blaufränkisch, all of which make for terrific summer drinking options. Wine Director Troy Revell will lead you through an educational presentation on the region’s fascinating history and beautiful geography.

A few small bites from Chef Gagne are included and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you!
