
Eric Asimov Wine Dinner – November 13, 2025
Fearrington and the Wine Centric Show are honored to host one of the most recognizable names in the American wine industry, the chief wine critic of the New York Times – Eric Asimov. Mr. Asimov has ben writing about wine since 1999 and is known for popular columns like $25 and Under, The Pour, and Wines of the Times. He has worked with Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell on curating a wine lineup for you focusing on natural processes, organic wines that see minimal intervention and low sulfur in their production. Chef Paul Gagne’s 5-course dinner menu will pair with 6 memorable wines.

Eric Asimov is the chief wine critic of The New York Times and the author of How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto, published by William Morrow, and Wine With Food: Pairing Notes and Recipes From The New York Times, written with recipes by Florence Fabricant and published by Rizzoli. His column appears in the Food section of The New York Times. He is on social media, @EricAsimov. A collection of his columns is included in The New York Times Book of Wine, published by Sterling Epicure.
Mr. Asimov has been writing about wine, food and restaurants for The Times for more than 30 years as a reporter, restaurant reviewer and, since 2004, as wine critic. He has a B.A. in History and American Studies from Wesleyan University and did graduate work in American Civilization at the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Manhattan with his family.
