CrimeScene Mystery Bookfest 2026

McIntyre’s Books is thrilled to announce the biennial return of CrimeScene Mystery Bookfest on Friday & Saturday, February 6 & 7, 2026.

McIntyre’s Mystery Guru Pete Mock is the emcee and creator of the weekend. Pete reads something on the order of 200+ mysteries a year, and he’s the sole judge and juror of the annual Beltie Mystery Prize, his annual round-up of the best murder mysteries. Not only does he read ‘em all, he shares his enthusiasm for the genre with all of us. 

First held in early 2020, the inaugural CrimeScene Bookfest was a weekend filled with some of our favorite mystery authors doing readings, holding panel discussions, and rubbing elbows at a cocktail party. This year’s killer cocktail party will be held on Friday, February 6th. It is to die for!
