
August NCPS Poetry Reading with Maureen Sherbondy, Lines in Opposition; Maura High, The Field Index; and Sam Love, Earth Resonance: Poems for a Viable Future
Maureen Sherbondy’s forthcoming book is The Body Remembers. She has published a YA novel, a short story collection, and eleven poetry books. Her work has appeared in Southern Humanities Review, Harpur Palate, New York Quarterly, Calyx, and other journals. She lives in Durham, NC.
Maura High came to the USA, from Wales, as an adult, and has made her home here in North Carolina. She writes about our local ecology, the land and all its inhabitants, and has been awarded the William Matthews Prize and the Terrain.org Prize.
Sam Love‘s latest book is an anthology of his environmental poetry Earth Resonance: Poems for a Viable Future. His award-winning children’s book My Little Plastic Bag, illustrated by Samrae Duke, is available in Spanish and English.
