Independent Bookstore Day + McIntyre’s Books 35th Birthday

We are doubly grateful to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day with something special– the celebration of our 35th birthday!

Mark your calendars now and please plan to drop by to see us.

At 10:30am, Johanna Banana will host a special Saturday outdoor storytime (weather permitting) with McIntyre’s alum Billy Sugarfix dusting off his red ukulele.

At 11am, Brian Panowich will read from and discuss his jawdropping thriller, Nothing But the Bones.

McIntyre’s will donate 35 cents per book sold to Chatham Reads, and we will  have free cookies from the Fearrington House all day long. We will be giving away bags of books (for adults and kids) with McIntyre’s merchandise every hour on the half hour. We will also have a space for you to share your thoughts about our bookstore and your favorite books. Come join the celebration!
