The Fearrington Plate – September 11, 2025
We’ll admit it—we’re guilty of peeking at the desserts before we even order dinner. And if you’re a fellow sweet tooth, you’re in good company. At The Fearrington House, our desserts never disappoint—yes, that infamous Chocolate Soufflé is always worth it.
But this week, we want to draw your attention to something truly special: the Chamomile & Honey Mousse on our tasting menu. Paired with an almond florentine, white chocolate, kiwi, and berries, it’s delicate, decadent, and downright unforgettable.
Worth the splurge? Absolutely. Because sometimes, dessert is the main event. Reserve here.

Big Basin Vineyards Homestead Grenache Blend 2019 – $22
A vibrant, Grenache-driven blend from California’s Central Coast, the 2019 Homestead showcases the purity of organic fruit and masterful balance. With 57% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre, 12% Carignan, and 8% Syrah, this wine offers enticing aromas of black plum, red raspberries, currants, fennel, and dried flowers, layered with wood spice and tobacco. On the palate, baked red fruit and savory spice mingle with subtle oak, carried by lively acidity and fine structure. Approachable now but built to age gracefully for years to come.
Troy Revell, Wine Director, shares:
“This is one of those wines that shows how exciting Grenache blends can be outside of France. The balance of fruit, spice, and structure makes it both food-friendly and cellar-worthy. It’s a bottle I love to pour now, but it has the backbone to reward patience too.”
