A Michelin Moment for The Fearrington House
This week brought an incredible honor to The Fearrington House — we were named one of only 47 restaurants in North Carolina recommended by the Michelin Guide.
On Monday, Chef Paul Gagne and General Manager Theresa Chiettini attended the inaugural Michelin Guide of the American South Awards Ceremony, joined by several of our senior team members. It was a truly special evening celebrating excellence in Southern cuisine and hospitality.
“We were so honored to be among such talented chefs and restaurateurs from across the South,” says Chef Paul “It was inspiring to be recognized alongside peers who are at the very top of their craft.
”
A highlight of the night? Chef Paul had the chance to meet one of his culinary heroes, Emeril Lagasse, who was also honored for his New Orleans restaurant.
This Recommended recognition is a proud moment for all of us — a reflection of 45 years of passion, dedication, and the support of our guests and community. We’ll continue striving for excellence, crafting unforgettable dining experiences, and celebrating the beauty of food, wine, and service done the Fearrington way.

FROM GALLOWAY’S WINE & BEER SHOP
Turley Estate Zinfandel 2022 – $55
A benchmark for bold, expressive California Zinfandel, Turley Estate’s 2022 vintage captures both power and finesse. Made from certified organic, head-trained, dry-farmed vines in the heart of Napa Valley, this field blend showcases the beauty of heritage viticulture and meticulous winemaking.
Expect a vibrant nose of red and black fruits, layered with wild herbs, black pepper, and earthy garrigue. On the palate, it’s broad and deep — a symphony of ripe berries, Provencal herbs, and subtle spice. Though unmistakably a classic Napa wine, its structure and savory complexity lend it an almost Southern French sensibility.
Troy Revell, our Wine Director, shares: “Turley’s Estate Zinfandel is a masterclass in balance — rich and full-bodied, yet never heavy. It’s a wine that rewards slow sipping and great company. A perfect pairing for autumn evenings, hearty fare, or simply a quiet night by the fire.”
