The Fearrington InnSider – The Countdown to Thistle & Oak
Each week brings us closer to the debut of Thistle & Oak, our new men’s store in Fearrington Village—and last weekend, we took another big step forward.
Last Saturday, we hopped on a plane for a whirlwind 7-hour trip to Dallas for the men’s market show. It was quick but incredibly productive—we found a few final brands we’d been seeking and put the finishing touches on our curated collection.
Then, as if on cue, the fixtures arrived Tuesday morning! Our team spent the past three days assembling tables, hanging racks, and bringing the vision for Thistle & Oak to life. This week, we’ll focus on final tweaks to the space so that when product starts arriving later this week, we can receive, steam, and style each piece—the part where it finally begins to look and feel like the shop we’ve imagined.
Blending heritage, craftsmanship, and modern style, Thistle & Oak will cater to the educated, adventurous, and discerning gentleman—those who appreciate quality and tradition but embrace contemporary living. Our shelves will feature a thoughtful selection of apparel, accessories, and gifts from remarkable global and domestic brands, some of them include:
- Clifton Wilson – Distinguished U.S. designer redefining men’s accessories with timeless pocket squares and scarves crafted from cashmere, linen, and silk.
- Edward Armah – Sophisticated neckwear and accessories known for elegant detailing
- Will Leather Goods – Premium leather bags and belts made with rugged refinement.
- Hagen, 34 Heritage, Hartford, Amundsen, Criquet, Emanuel Berg, DU/ER, Save the Duck – A spectrum of menswear spanning classic tailoring to modern casual wear.
- L.E.N Belts, Will Leather Goods – Accessories and apparel for the gentleman who values understated luxury.
- Skincare & Grooming – Elemis for Men, Molton Brown
- Gifts and more
We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and we’re beyond excited to open the doors. Our target opening date is August 22nd—sign up HERE to stay in the know, and you’ll be the first to hear when we’re ready to welcome you in for opening day.
