So which North Carolina restaurant is considered to be the “most famous” in the entire state?

Fearrington House Restaurant

This popular Chapel Hill-area eatery has drawn in a host of customers over the years looking to sample its delicious fine dining cuisine. Fearrington House Restaurant is located at 230 Market Street at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro.

Here’s what the site had to say:

“In an idyllic setting just outside of Chapel Hill, Fearrington House Restaurant has been feeding happy diners since 1980. Combining the culinary traditions of the American South and the techniques of European cooking with locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant was doing the farm-to-table thing before it was a buzz phrase.”
