We are so excited to share an upcoming event in August. The Local Palate’s Cookbook Club launches here at Fearrington. There are a few events to choose from, so opt for one or select them all. Go behind the recipe with chef Melissa M. Martinand food historian Von Diaz for this this two-day event, celebrating the flavors of the South from North Carolina to New Orleans. Bring those young’uns!
Next Saturday, July 26th at 11am, join Jack Berhardt as he discusses Bluegrass Gospel: The Music Ministry of Jerry and Tammy Sullivan: The Music Ministry of Jerry and Tammy Sullivan (American Made Music Series). “Showing the coexistence of traditional values and modern musical practices—downhome millennial religion promoted in dynamic bluegrass style—Bernhardt has paid tribute to a way of life and musical culture that are unknown to most of us. What a pleasure to have been invited to welcome the publication of a work that adds a significant element to America’s multidimensional religious musical heritage.” – From the foreword by Bill C.
