1974 – the year Fearrington Village was born!   It is hard to believe that this beautiful community turns 50 this year!   It remains as fresh, innovative and glorious as it did in its first days.   On the last Saturday in April, the Fearrington Homeowner’s Association and residents put on quite the show in the form of a Founder’s Festival.   Because Fearrington Village has so many interest groups, a generous display was organized of a sample of these wonderful clubs.   Residents shared their love of Mahjong, traveling, history, politics, geneology, book clubs, croquet, story corps series and so much more!   We enjoyed Food trucks and live music, as well as a variety of beautiful vintage cars.  There was a wonderful powerpoint of our roots in the Gathering Place.  Check out a brief history of our community here https://fearringtonfha.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/FHA-Founders-Day-Presentation2023LP.pdf .   Some of us even danced a bit on the upper lawn as a live DJ played disco music.   Half a century on, Fearrington Village continues to be a truly unique living community, comprised of the most special residents of all ages and backgrounds who never missing an opportunity to bring folks together in celebration!
