Meet Tut Davis, an integral part of our Inn Reception Concierge
What drew you to want to join Fearrington Village? In a word : Family. I’ve known of this place since I was 10-11 years old due to family that worked here
How long have you been part of the team at Fearrington Village? Since the summer of ’92. Filled in for the Market Café as a dishwasher in the summer before I was offered to come work fully when I was in my teens. Bussed tables there until I moved to the Inn as Bellman around ’96-’97. In August 2000 I moved inside and have been at the Front Desk ever since.
What do you like the most about being part of the team here? Key word in that question: team because we are in fact one big team & a great one at that. Everyone working together for the one purpose, which is to exceed (and we do).
What was your most memorable experience here in Fearrington? Funny enough after being here for 29 years, I can’t just settle on one. Having past presidents & Bill Nye here for readings, that big Bank of America group here back in 2004. Meeting quite a few celebrities. Just goes on & on & on…
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Family time, outdoor grilling, sports (of course) which def includes golfing & gaming. Other than that, sleeping. Rest is very important for my mental health.
