The wine comes from a south-facing clay-limestone slope near Beaumont-en-Véron, with vines at least 50 years old, farmed organically and harvested by hand.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe fruit is destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts and given a long maceration before aging for one to two years in large oak and chestnut foudres, followed by further bottle age before release. The 2020 has enough ripe fruit to be enjoyable now, but the chalky tannins and fresh acidity give it real aging potential.
