Dear Gentle Reader,

We had a wonderful event this past week with Abraham Verghese and WUNC Radio’s Anita Rao. We had people travel from far-flung places such as Chicago; Oxford, Mississippi; and Richmond, Virginia. Stay tuned for more on this as the evening was taped for Anita’s public radio show and podcast, Embodied. We will share the link as soon as we can, but currently are anticipating late July.

This Saturday at 11am, we delight in presenting Nell Joslin, who will discuss her novel Measure of Devotion with our friend, novelist Marjorie Hudson. Next Saturday, June 21st at 2pm, we welcome beloved author Judy Goldman for her most recent memoir, The Rest of Our Lives.

In store news, we are replenishing our Sale Section and have brought in some wonderful values in cookbooks and novels, including some great North Carolina fiction and nonfiction. Let us show you where it is so you can give it a perusal. There are gems to be had!
