Fearrington Village is Reopening!

We are so excited to welcome you back to Fearrington Village! Our real estate office, restaurants, shops, inn and spa begin reopening with revised hours and social distancing protocols in place on June 3rd. Our first and most important concern as we invite guests back is safety and peace of mind. We are implementing the following steps to protect you, our staff, and our community.

  • All of our staff will wear masks inside our buildings and when within 6 feet of others and will wash or sanitize their hands at least every 30 minutes and as needed.
  • We ask all guests entering our buildings to wear a mask inside, and to maintain social distance from others both inside and outside.
  • Each building will allow 50% of the maximum occupancy to allow for better social distancing
  • Where possible, doors will be designated “entrance” or “exit” for less cross contact between guests
  • All high-touch surfaces in the public areas of our shops, restaurants, spa, and inn will be sanitized every 30 minutes, or more as needed.
  • All of our staff will receive a health evaluation before starting work each day. They will not come to work if they are experiencing any covid 19 symptoms .
  • We ask that you also stay home if you feel unwell.
  • Each staff member will take the Count On Me NC course training before we reopen.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being.

The Fearrington Village Real Estate Office:

  • The office is open Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm and Saturday, 10am – 4pm
  • We ask all guests entering the building to wear a mask. Our staff will also be wearing masks.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for anyone entering the building. Our staff will wash or sanitize their hands at least every 30 minutes, and before/after in-person contact with guests
  • For tours of our listings: the staff will wear masks, our customers will wear masks, and we will sanitize all surfaces behind our clients as we move through the home.
  • We will sanitize high-touch surfaces multiple times each day, and before and after any in-person visits with guests.

The Belted Goat and Roost:

  • The Belted Goat is open Wednesday – Sunday. Visit the website to see hours and menus.
  • Roost is open Friday and Saturday, 4-7pm. Walkup or order online.
  • Both will have socially distanced outdoor seating only with walkup and online ordering available (no cash transactions).
  • Each table will be sanitized at the beginning of service and between uses. There will be staff members on hand to handle food delivery to tables and to sanitize tables.
  • Tables are limited to 2-4 guests. Please do not move tables together to make larger ones.
  • A tent has been set up to provide a shady spot for outdoor dining near the Belted Goat.
  • If you are pickup up a carryout order, park in one of the designated spots and we’ll bring your order to you.
  • The bathrooms at the Belted Goat are available via the side entrance only. They will be sanitized every 30 minutes.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being.

The Fearrington House Restaurant

  • The Fearrington House Restaurant will be open for afternoon tea and dinner Thursday – Sunday only. Visit the website for more information on hours.
  • The Fearrington House will be open by reservation only at 50% capacity with indoor and outdoor seating available. To see hours and to make reservations, click here.
  • We will have one seating per table per opening, and each table and chairs will be fully sanitized before the next seating.
  • There will be no seating in the bar area. We will have designated tables away from the bar by reservation only.
  • We ask all guests to wear a mask when entering or moving around the restaurant. Once seated at their table, guests may remove their masks.
  • Restrooms will be sanitized every 30 minutes.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being.

The Fearrington House Inn

  • The inn will be open for guests Wednesday – Sunday only.
  • Guests can decide at check in what level of housekeeping service they would like.
  • All housekeepers will be wearing masks and gloves at all times when entering, cleaning and sanitizing rooms.
  • As much as possible, rooms will be left for 24 hours between guests to ensure proper sanitation of spaces.
  • Our guests will receive a welcome bag at check in with the amenities that would usually be found in their room.
  • Check in will be a bit different. Guests can choose whether or not they would like our usual tour (socially distanced, of course), or they can opt for a brief orientation before setting off for their room.
  • Room service will not be available at this time. Guests can order takeout from the Fearrington House or Belted Goat online and pick up to enjoy in their rooms.
  • Reservations will be required for breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner to ensure social distancing.
  • Additional details about our policies are provided in the confirmation emails for each guest.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being.

McIntyre’s Books, Dovecote, Nest, Sprout and the Spa Boutique

  • The shops are open Wednesday – Sunday from noon – 5pm, and 10am – noon by appointment.
  • We ask all guests entering the building to wear a mask. Our staff will also be wearing masks.
  • All shops will also require gloves which we will provide (some items in our shops are very difficult to sanitize, so extra measures are needed).
  • Each shop will allow a limited number of shoppers inside at one time to maintain social distancing.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being.

The Spa at Fearrington

  • The spa will be open with limited capacity and limited menu of treatments.
  • We ask all guests to wear a mask for the duration of their visit, including during treatments. Staff will also wear a mask at all times. They will also wash and sanitize their hands frequently.
  • Each treatment room will be fully sanitized between customers.
  • As guests arrive, they will be taken directly to their treatment with no interlude in our waiting area.
  • Guests must sign an additional health form stating that they are in good health and have not come into contact with anyone who may have covid19.
  • We will not accept cash transactions for the time being. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

The Gardens

  • As always, we hope that everyone enjoys a stroll through our gardens, but we ask that you do so while practicing social distancing.
  • If approaching our gardeners for questions, we ask that you wear a mask. They will have them to put on while conversing too.

And most importantly, we ask everyone who visits Fearrington Village to arrive with a kind and patient spirit as we all navigate these changes together.
