Wines with Aging Potential Part 5 – Red Wines

Thursday, June 27   |   6:00 pm

Buy Ticket >

Price: $150

Join Beverage Director Paula de Pano at the Fearrington House Restaurant for a 5-part wine class series featuring classic wines’ ability to age. During wine classes, a question that is often posed after each wine is, “Will the wine age well? How long can it keep?” This class aims to give a snapshot of classic wines from top regions of the world as it progresses with one set of wines having at least 7-10 years of age, while the other set still in its youth or infancy. While wines in their youth tend to be tighter and more austere in its organoleptic qualities, wines with some age, either by law, a winemaker’s choice, or through careful cellaring, tend to give more complexity. This comparative tasting class will shed light to how wines made from international grapes fare throughout its lifetime.

Seats are at $150 per person and include wines, tasting bites, tax, and gratuity.

The fine print: Classes are non-refundable. Please include the names of attending guests in the gift message area. If your plans have changed, please feel free to send a lucky friend in your place!  Just send us an email with their name or have them bring your confirmation email.
