CANCELED: ‘In-Cider’ Scoop! with Sommelier Laura Francis – A Cider Class

Price: $45

Going back to our American roots, cider has been a well-loved beverage since we settled in Plymouth Rock. Those English Isle palates lusted after something to quench their thirst, and making cider was much easier in that climate than trying to cultivate barley and grains for beer. Recently, cider has had a resurgence of interest across the US, especially in states that boast sizable orchard agriculture. Typically cider is produced from apples, but technically can be made from other fruits, as well — pears tend to be another common cider choice. Ranging the full spectrum from extremely dry to lusciously sweet, there are ciders made to fit any occasion. Join us today for an overview of ciders from across the globe like France, Spain, England, and some stateside cideries.

This class will be held at the Belted Goat. Tickets are $45 per person.
