Daneen’s Notes
Having reached “the age of simplification” whereby I have vowed that “less in my closet is more,” this season is truly about the giving and not about the receiving – HOWEVER! – KAS cashmere scarves are the exception to my rule! These extraordinary scarves are handmade in Nepal where they take about two months to produce, and the second you drape these scarves around your shoulders you’ll understand why they are in a league of their own. I am fortunate enough to own several of these – acquired and treasured one at a time…as in building a collection. This is my go–to wrap for chilly mountain evenings in the summer, air travel any season of the year, an extra layer of warmth when I find myself someplace colder than I was expecting, and a glamorous wrap for any occasion – over jeans and a tee shirt or a ball gown.
They fold neatly into my tote bag, never pill or show wear due to the special “sparged” weave, and they come in the most amazing range of colors. In addition to our neutral stock in the shop, KAS has sent us a spectacular trove of colorful options that will be with us for ONE WEEK ONLY. In addition to our standard 40 X 80 size, they have added a 20 X 74 option that is perfect around your neck for a pop of color or added bit of warmth – and it’s a great price point. If you are looking for a luxurious gift for someone on your list, or perhaps YOU are on someone else’s list, this is it. Regardless of age, fashion aesthetic or lifestyle, this gift is such a winner (And yes – I have already broken my rule!)
