Catherine Garland and Steve Bravy have been Fearrington residents since 2014. We asked them what they loved most about living at Fearrington – here’s what they shared about their experience.

What persuaded you to move to Fearrington?
The location in the Triangle (universities, health care, arts, restaurants) and the beautiful local setting; the chance to make new friends through the many clubs and be involved in as many activities as we choose.

What about the Woods neighborhood appealed to you when deciding between Fearrington’s neighborhoods?
The trees, the more established feel of the neighborhood.

What do you love most about Fearrington?
Being in a community of interesting and friendly people who enjoy many of the same things we do; the opportunities for learning (OLLI), great music, great restaurants, Duke Center for Living. We love the Village Center as a place to hang out.

What is one of your fond memories of living at Fearrington?
Recently, we hosted a “block” party. Almost everyone on the street was able to come and we had a wonderful time catching up and meeting the people we didn’t already know. This was just one of the numerous informal gatherings that we’ve been part of.
